Photo-op!

A few nights ago I was invited to a photo-op with some awesome Denver talent. I had to drive to Castle Rock for the shoot, but it ended up being entirely worth it and I had SO MUCH fun soaking up photography life. I was invited by Brett Seeley and Don Hales. While they're a joy to hang around, they also surrounded us with awesome company, such as my close friend, Junichi with Pixel Art Photography, and one of my favorite models, Annelise. I shot all night long and laughed out loud. I even screamed once when I landed my lightning shots. =) Regardless, it was a blast and I will always be thankful for the "learning" escapades I encounter.

I shot some of the best shots in my port this day! That's how you kill it. ;)

LIGHTING it up.

You know, I've tried to get good shots of lightning in the past...I mean really tried. But I just never got anything that was crisp or worth showing people. I thought I knew what I needed to do to capture it, but last night, I finally got my shots!! So I can't really take credit for these because one of the best photographers I know, who happens to be an excellent friend of mine, coached me through this! I used to see his lightning shots and think he photoshopped them because I couldn't believe how amazingly REAL they were. But because I've learned from the best, I have the potential to get pretty good at what I do. That's my goal: to get pretty freaking good at what I do.

I owe Junichi from Pixel Art Photography a ton of props on these pictures, but in the future...the sky is all mine! =)
