Baby Shoot: The BFF's belly.

When I was a child, my parents would set up a lawn sprinkler for me and my brother in the heat of the summer. We had nothing more than bare feet and smiles that year, and running through the water was the greatest joy I think my little heart could have known. The freshly cut lawn my dad was methodical about  grooming squished under our little toes. Our mother watched from the deck in a lawn chair, sunning herself. Our laughs echoed throughout our neighborhood...

I have the same feelings with Kimmy. Sure, we're almost 30...but when we're together, it's like running through the sprinklers all over again. Sunshine, splashing, and laughter.

My best friend (in the whole world) is pregnant! And breathtakingly beautiful at that. I can hardly wait for her son to meet mine. I have a feeling they will crawl around in the mud, build sand castles, and eat dirt together. And I dream of Kimmy and I's laughter as we watch them run through the sprinklers in dew-filled grass...hearts a pitter patter.

Personal: Very little needed...

It seems like each day moves so fast I can't keep up. I have so many things I want and need to do, but don't know how to achieve/accomplish them all... I struggle just to get my bearings and find my way. But lately, I've cherished little more than the simple moments I've had with my tiny boy. He brings me peace I've never felt and a warmth in my heart that reminds me I'm okay. Life is so very precious. So very short. He has much to teach me. For starters: Every day is better with a smile. =) 

Remember this -- very little is needed to make a happy life.

Sneak Peek: A Model Who's Never Modeled

The moment I met my husband--and yes, it was in the 3rd grade!--I knew he was it. The O.N.E. I have that kind of clarity in life with certain things. The moment I saw his sister? I died. So she was only a tot really, but she was gorgeous. One day, I remember thinking, she'll be a heart-breaker. And a drop-dead-knockout. I feel like I deserve some kind of pink ribbon or something. I'm just that good at spotting the amazing. ;) #proudsista

Personal: My SnuggaBunny. A First Easter.

Easter is one of the few days in which I don't mind the early mornings. There is something about the sun rising on this particular morning that brings me energy, hope, and peace. I feel there is nothing coincidental about the play on words. Sun. Son. Both project light and life. But the latter casts down love. That love permeates me more than ever on this day.

Today, was a most special Easter. My baby boy had his first! And it was full of snuggles, sweet goodies, and overwhelming love. I'd photographed him a few days before in all his glory. I never want to forget how precious he is at this stage. For now, I think I like 6 months the best! 

I hope you had the Happiest of Easters.

Sneak Peek: Hailey Middleton

Sometimes there is nothing better than catching a few rays and some good old-fashioned fashion. A downright gahhhhorgeous model makes everything easy; and having your makeup artist watch your baby while you shoot? Well, that's just plain icing on the cake.

Here's a peek at the beautiful Hailey Middleton among the willow trees. We were fortunate enough to catch those hot rays of sun before all this cold weather moved in. God bless Colorado. ...and f/1.4 lenses. ;)
